Wedding films, music videos and television drama — the long-form work that keeps the craft sharp.
The story
Alongside commercial work I edit in the wedding sector: full wedding films, highlight cuts, music videos and television dramas (natok).
Long-form editing is where storytelling actually gets tested — a two-hour day has to become eight minutes that a family will still watch in twenty years.
Every one of these teaches something that comes straight back into the commercial work: pacing, restraint, and knowing which shot to cut.
